Toy Factory Lofts is the living revitalization of an authentic 1923 Downtown Los Angeles warehouse and former toy factory into 119 live-work lofts. Retail and services at the ground floor include a restaurant, a gourmet grocery and wine shop, and residents’ fitness center. Residential features include high ceilings, sprawling LA river views, sandblasted concrete floors, and modern kitchens. The spacious bathrooms include oversized tubs, stainless steel appliances and Grohe faucets and fixtures. Units come with one or two bathrooms, and range from around 773 feet to over 2,100 square-foot single level floorplans, some with distinct bedroom areas while others are wide-open.

The LA Consevancy offers the following historical information: “This utilitarian, six-story, concrete warehouse was built for the Star Truck & Warehouse Company. Though the building is square and box-like in appearance from most angles, its northern side curves gracefully to follow what was once a railroad spur. The railroad curve continues around a two-story portion on the west side, and its continuation is seen in the shape of the buildings that face Toy Factory Lofts across Industrial Street. The building’s poured-in-place concrete construction was so sturdy that the structure was designated a civilian bomb shelter during World War II.”
